Reception for 50th Anniversary Exhibit: Historical Photos of Smith Mountain Lake

Glenn Ayers, Keynote speaker for the evening, will set the stage for the 50th Anniversary Exhibit of Historical Photos from the Smith Mountain Lake region. Mr. Ayers is a life-long resident of Bedford County and is the columnist for “River Days,” a regular feature of the Smith Mountain Eagle newspaper. The historical photos are from personal collections and are part of the collective memories of the Smith Mountain Lake region. The community is invited to bring photos to the library before May 15, 2016 to be considered for the show. The exhibit will be in the MOarts Gallery at the Moneta/ Smith Mountain Lake Library from June 1st – August 31st. This event is free and open to the public. The Friends of the Moneta/ Smith Mountain Lake Library will provide refreshments.
